Our family went to Colorado this past June and it was the perfect time of year to visit. There is so much to do in this beautiful area and we never wanted to leave. The Broadmoor Resort was where we stayed and it was the bomb diggity – it was over $200 a night but well worth it. There is a view of the mountainside that is spectacular and if you ever get the chance to stay at the Broadmoor you should choose the west side of the hotel because this has the best views.
After we got settled in our hotel we called a local Colorado Springs limousine service and they took us to a place called the Garden of the gods. The Garden of The Gods is the most beautiful place on earth and the rock formations are like nothing youve ever seen before. My wife brought her camera we got some amazing photos as the sun was setting over the Garden of the gods.
Since we didn’t know our way around the limo in Colorado Springstook us to various places and we did not have to worry about driving. Ourchauffeur took us to dinner and then out for some drinks in downtown Colorado Springs. We all went to a cook out at our friends house and we grilled up some Angus steaks. Even though it was only 50° outit felt like 60° – I think this has something to do with being higher up and closer to the sun.
We had the Colorado Springs limo company take us to Denver one day and it was only a two-hour drive. We went to a Colorado Rockies game and the Rockies won 7 to 1. We also hit up Loveland Colorado and we checked out the Sylvandale Guest Ranch – it was great. We got a little buzzed trying all the different beers. If you have some vacation time in the future – you should take the trip to Colorado Springs or Denver, you will love it.
